Leadership in Action Breakfast Focused on Collaboration

posted on January 12th, 2012

What Do Leaders Do When They Can’t Solve a Problem Alone? Collaborate! On March 28, 2012, ICL hosted a well-attended, panel discussion in Portland on how collaborative leadership can ensure Maine youth are ready to fill high tech jobs in our state. Our guests were Mike Dubyak (President and CEO, Wright Express), Stephen Bowen (Commissioner, Maine Department of Education), Rich Pattenaude (Former Chancellor, University of Maine System), and Ron Bancroft (Founder, Bancroft & Co.)  Given the growing need for technology skills and the shortage of qualified job applicants, these innovative leaders teamed up to form a plan to deliver highly-trained graduates to Maine’s workforce. In an exteneded Q&A session with our audience, they spoke of the challenges and opportunities that face Maine employers and outlined how to address these challenges.
